Clinic Information
Most clinics that will be offered will be during the Spring and Summer months. Availability is very sparse throughout the Fall season. Also, being that skating and skill development are paramount to a players success most clinics will not focus much on positioning and systems.

FAQ
What are clinics dates and times?
This will always depend on rink schedules and be sent out via a survey prior to any clinics being offered. Make sure you are on the mailing list to get details.
What do Skill Development Clinics Cost?
Clinics will cost on average about $50 per week.
What is covered in the Skill Development Clinics?
The usual breakdown for these classes is 15 minutes skating, 30 minutes skill progression, and 15 minutes small area games/scrimmage time. Each day will have a different skill progression. Every skill will be covered and into great detail depending on the length of the clinic. An 8-14 week clinic will cover every skating skill and hockey skill in great detail. However, there may be certain aspects of a skill that are not covered in an 8 week session (all types of shots, all moves, etc.)
Will there be any individual days available to buy?
Maybe. The only way there will be individual dates available for purchase is if the full session registrations do not fill up.
How many players will there be in each clinic?
There will be a 32 player maximum for full ice clinics, and 16 players maximum for half ice clinics. There will be one head coach per 16 players. Who will the Head Coaches be? Head coaches will depend on ice availability and be announced prior to registration opening. They will all be contracted coaches that have ample experience coaching in skill development settings. Coach John will always be one of the main head coaches (minus a week here and there) and the other will be of similar coaching ability and knowledge.
I am going to miss a class, can I get a refund/credit?
No. However, you can give/sell your spot to someone of a similar skill level to make sure you feel like you are getting the value of what you paid for in one way or another.
Can I switch days if I cannot make it?
No. However, each session I usually place a spot on my THT Facebook page where people can post a slot to give, sell, or trade days with others. PLAYERS MUST BE OF SIMILAR AGE/SKILL LEVEL. A 9U player should not be swapping with a 14U player, because they will not fit in the correct groups when they switch. If they are in the higher age/skill group they need to find someone that fits in with that group. I will usually chime in on that page if it doesn’t look like a fit. If you find someone on your own, you just need to email prior to get approval.
How do you group players?
Group skill levels will be decided during the surveys for each clinic. Each group could be 3-4 years apart for the oldest and youngest. However, usually the younger players in any older group will be higher level players.
Are group levels set for the whole clinic?
No. However, these are skill development clinics so which group a player is in should not matter as much as people think. If they are giving their best effort. 45 minutes of each 1 hour session will have nothing to do with any other players. A player that is obviously out of place (way better or not as good) will be moved to another group. If they are not clearly the best player in their group they may not be moved, because there is no reason unless they are overly dominant over the other players.
